Lucy gets worried about a man who has fallen in love with her mom, Jack's mentor is shot which leads Jack to wonder if the discovery about the drug labs had anything to do with the death of his mentor.

Sue and the team get a highly sensitive case to solve. Senator Fenton requests that the death of his son Kyle be looked into. He tells the team that his son died due to drinking himself to death fraternity initiation. The medical examiner's report on Kyle rules out alcohol poisoning but states that he was allergic peanut oil. Now the team is looking at a homicide and not a simple hazing. Also Sue and Lucy let Amanda stay with them for the night they get an idea of what parenting is like. As the help Amanda deal with going on a date and then being rejected at school. Amanda gets a harsh lesson to learn. She finds out that friends are hard to come by because she is deaf.

In the middle of the Christmas season, a mysterious Santa was robbing banks with a few helpers. Bobby tries to present a good image to the press but a determined reporter is eager to attack the FBI. Sue's relationship with her mother comes to a head when her parents stay over.

Sue Thomas is a Deaf woman with the ability to read lips. She moves to Washington, D.C. to begin her new job as an FBI agent and discovers that her new job is not all it's cracked up to be. Due to an out-of-date directory, she accidentally vents her disappointment to Special Agent Jack Hudson, who is impressed by her honesty and tests her skills by having her read a colleague's lips, discovering he is planning a weekend away with a woman. Jack asks Sue to join his Unit of Special Investigators, where she discovers that her new friend Lucy is the girlfriend of Myles, the man Sue saw earlier planning a trip with a different woman.

While trying to protect an Afghan leader, the team loses their primary assassin. But when they think that all hope is lost, another possible assassin is tracked down and put under surveillance, giving the team interesting results.

Jack runs into a bounty hunter named Joe who used to work at the FBI until his daughter died. He blames Jack for his daughter's problems. Although the team searches for Fantasia (a new designer drug) Levi learns that he will grace the box of the latest dog food only to learn that it isn't so easy to do. Sue and Lucy begin the have problems with the photographer that has chosen to photograph Levi. Sue and Lucy learn that Levi will have to compete with the photographer's dog in order to be included in the latest dog calendar.

Sue meets a special agent with the FBI named Tony. While Sue is undercover with Tony things get off to a bad start when he refers to Sue as "his girl" Jack immediately questions Tony's interests that he has for Sue. The relationship between Sue and Tony goes even further when he asks her how to sign do you want to go to dinner? Lucy learns something shocking that will change Sue and Tony's relationship.

Sue learns that Troy is being blamed for armed robbery. Sue and Jack set out to prove whether he was part of the armed robbery or not. Darcy has gotten a job in Los Angeles and asks that Bobby go with her to Las Angeles. Bobby and his girlfriend both realize that they've each made the decision regarding Darcy's news. Bobby and Tara begin a relationship with each other. They soon find out that they have lost their love for their respective partners. Troy insists that he didn't do anything in the armed robbery. Sue tells Troy she believes him. Troy insists that he didn't do anything in the armed robbery. Sue tells troy she believes him. After the FBI learns of new video of the armed robbery Sue finds out Troy misled her because he is in the video.

Sue meets a woman who says she saw a murder but the only problem is there are sure whether Beth heard or saw the murder. Sue and Jack find out that their witness is schizophrenic and gives them clues in strange metaphors making the case all the more complicated to figure out. Also the team gets a new acting supervisor named Wayne. Their new supervisor begins to drive them crazy when one begins to color code all their cases. He places the current case as a low priority case. They soon find out that Wayne has never even solved an FBI case in his life.

Sue is put in the uncomfortable position of knowing that her new colleague Myles is having an affair behind his girlfriend Lucy's back while also trying to prove that, now that Jack has given her the chance of a lifetime, she has what it takes to follow through.

When Sue becomes an official member of the team, Jack trains her, and he has a perfect case for her: a bomb threat against a former FBI agent.

When an unsuccessful raid by the FBI coincides with the disappearance of one of Sue's informants, the team believes that terrorists were the source of the leak. Eventually, it turns out that an aide to the Senator from Jack's hometown of Wisconsin was behind it.

The Boys are apart of an online bachelor auction, soon Myles gets the most bids for charity. Sue tries to honor a dying mother's wish, to find out who killed her daughter Julie. The FBI talks to Brian Cooper who killed Julie because she helped rob the bank. Sue learns that there is sometimes a limit to how much justice is allowed by law.

Sue and the team begin tracking people who illegally entered the country on a fake Visas. After they find the person they're looking for they learn he is a barely alive because his kidney was taken. Lucy and Sue invite Lucy's cousin to stay for a few days, soon Lucy and Sue find it difficult to tell Anita to leave.

The team tries to figure out why restaurant was blown up by a bomb. As they continue to investigate this discover that Danny is lying to protect his father. They learn that Danny's father works for an organization linked with a terrorist organization.

A woman offers Jack, Sue & Bobby someone big Johnny ""Red"" Moreno who laundered money through KBJ investment group through a poker game. Bobby risks his job to get the bad guy. Sue and Lucy try to figure out why Levi is acting oddly. Sue and Lucy learn that Levi's Flee medicine is making him act odd. The next day Levi takes the wrong pill leading him to act strange and force sue to continue to live her life without Levi after he runs away.

The team's favorite waitress seems to be involved in software piracy and has been using Tara's business card in the process. Myles is then being considered a candidate for the new face of the FBI.

Sue goes on an FBI and DEA task force. Has love hit Levi and Sue? Charlie and Troy try to fix something at Lucy and Sue's apartment.

Sue and Jack go undercover at law firm to find out why a lawyer and judge were murdered that the only connection the team has to go on is that the judge and lawyer worked for the same law firm. Myles mentions another connection his sister Ann also works at the same law firm. Myles takes the opportunity to reconnect with his sister while trying to uncover who was behind the murders. Ann tells Jack and Myles that Hillary was using a computer program where dates and other things were tracked. Jack learns that Brian Peyton was the hit man behind the murder of James Radley.

Adam Kinsey of ""Final flight"" is assigned to shadow Jack and learn some secrets of the trade and follow the team. Howie tells Sue, Jack, and Adam about some information he got regarding a gun shipment. Otis had plasma screen TV that he wants to sell so he can get out of dealing with the guns. After the team finds the man Otis has been working for Adam requests to see the dead body he learns that looking at a dead body may be harder than he thinks. Adam begins to fall in love with Tara. Things begin to get scary when the team learns that a plane flew into restricted airspace over Washington D.C. and suddenly goes missing after the pilot turns off so the plane can't be spotted.

Sue hears about two women who've died because of a cult called the mind profit. Sue tries to help a young woman named Lily get to know her parents better after they began noticing strange behavior in their daughter. Lilly's parents tried to kidnap Lily said she wouldn't go back to Mind Profit. Sue investigates mind profit and tries to find her self. Sue begins to ask Lily about the dead women. Malcolm Hayden begins to think Sue knows too much and kidnaps her.

After Jack and Bobby arrest a drug dealer they, along with Sue, interrogate him in order to capture other drug dealers in the trade. Meanwhile, the rest of the team is focused on the brand-new offices on the fifth floor.

A friend of Lucy's makes the team suspicious when a rumor begins to circulate that the large company that she works for might be going under. After work, the team heads to the football field, hoping to retain control of the infamous trophy.

Sue meets Logan Taylor who says her dad helped catch the hunter Jerome Soggins in the 80's and tells Lucy, Sue and Charlie (who asked Sue for help in solving the case) that her dad told her that the wrong man was convicted. Jack has to give a deposition to clear his name of killing the chicken. Myles & Sue talk to Jerome who was convicted of two murders and had hoped Ben Taylor would clear his name and request a DNA sample and hope to match Jerome's DNA with the old evidence. Sue Myles look for cab drivers picture with an ""X"" drawn through the picture. Darcy tells Sue Myles and Bobby that the hunter wrote to a reporter but the letters were sold to someone. Logan learns that her dad did love her by keeping letters and pictures. Tim reads Darcy's article on the hunter case which leads him to think his dad is the hunter and says his dad was violent man and would recall seeing his dad clean himself up. Sue & Myles talk with Kenneth who admits to killing some of the cab drivers but not the

Sue thinks something is wrong with Charlie, when he doesn't remember needing to change the oil in her car. Sue changes her mind as to what she thinks is wrong with him when Charlie tells her he had to get rid of some things his late wife owned. Troy thinks Charlie may have a hearing problem, because Troy had seen Charlie yell at a customer. In order to find a suicide bomber Bobby & Sue meet a hacker who was told to hack websites on a dare.
