Alan and Anne Turnbull seek help after one of their prize-winning show heifers has developed large unsightly warts. Meanwhile, farmer Martin Jackson is doing all he can to bag a prize, preferably the coveted red rosette for first place.

The staff of Skeldale Veterinary Centre have to deal with a lamb born with five fully formed legs, and a peacock which is on the loose at a housing estate. Plus, the owner of a Yorkshire terrier suspects her dog may be pregnant - but the truth is war worse as a life-threatening condition is diagnosed.

Julian and Peter rush to help a ewe that is struggling to give birth and, while there, realise there is another expectant sheep that also needs urgent help. At the practice, Peter has a visit from old pal Benji the border terrier, who despite being as lively as ever has been vomiting, while a newborn calf has a life-threatening hernia.
