Nikki gets a chance to appear as a weather girl, but her excitement turns to embarrassment when she and Dwight realize bar patrons drink a toast to her "bottom" every time she turns her back to the camera.

Nikki quits her retail job after landing a teaching position at a dance school, but dislikes working for her abrasive new boss. Meanwhile, Mary faces danger in her job as a process server.

Nikki loans Mary money so she can buy Jupiter a car, but a dispute over the amount of the loan threatens a planned weekend trip to the Grand Canyon that both couples hoped to take together.

Dwight talks Jupiter into hiring Nikki as a ring-side cheerleader.

An aspiring dancer and her would-be professional-wrestler husband decide to pursue their dreams in Las Vegas. We meet Nikki, who uninvitedly met Dwight at his going away to college party two years ago. They eventually cling to each other. After taking Nikki's advice to follow his dream and disregarding his mother's wish to see her son attend college, Dwight joins a wrestling camp, and incurring the wrath of his mother who cannot stand Nikki as she visits them.

Dwight and Nikki befriend a married couple who move into their building and the Whites decide to spice up the dull duo's social life.

The first season concludes as Nikki's younger brother, Scott, arrives in town and asks his sister to arrange a job for him at the casino.

The owner of a rival wrestling association buys out Jupiter's organization. At first Dwight and his co-workers are excited about appearing in a league with a higher profile. But their elation is short-lived when the new boss announces that he intends to replace them all with his own cronies, a decision that forces a conflicted Jupiter to fire his entire staff in order to save his own job. Meanwhile, Nikki and Mary vie for the lead in a music video slated to air on MTV.

Nikki and Dwight try to secure reservations at a fancy restaurant for Dwight's birthday, but Nikki's efforts embarrass her husband and endanger his health.

Nikki fears that Marion will ask the rich man she's dating to persuade Dwight to give up wrestling and go to college. However, Marion's friend may not be as happy with his success as he seems.

When Nikki and Dwight's new neighbor Robert complains about the noise and trades insults with Nikki, Dwight throws him out the door. When Nikki accuses him of trying to look macho in front of his buddies, they have their first big fight.

Dwight gets a match with CWF champ The Big Easy but isn't happy when the script calls for his opponent to win Nikki away with a kiss.

Nikki feels bad, so Dwight drags her down to the doctor. The news she receives from the doctor are pretty bad, because it could be that she might not be able to get kids much longer. Nikki feels torn apart by the idea of not being able to have her own family, but the other option to have kids right away freaks her out even more.

When Nikki finds out that her obnoxious landlords, Ken and Alice Gillespie, are going to compete in a ballroom dancing competition, she insists that Dwight join her in entering the contest. Soon, Mary and Jupiter get involved as well. However, through a series of mishaps, Nikki teams with Ken, and Mary rejects Jupiter for a handsome Latino, Antonio. Seeking revenge, Dwight and Jupiter compete against the others and almost win. Nikki prevails but learns that her overcompetitiveness almost ruined the fun of the evening.

Nikki's abrasive father arrives in town and goes to a show at the casino to watch his daughter dance.

When a new neighbor running an illegal day-care center in her apartment turns to Nikki for help, the Whites face potential eviction. Meanwhile, Dwight appears in a promo for his new wrestling league, but the gig isn't as glamorous as he expected.

Nikki and Dwight have a hard time trying to squeeze having sex into their busy schedule. Dwight impresses Jupiter at practice and gets a chance to wrestle on television, but he'll have to abstain from having sex for two weeks to conserve his energy. Meanwhile, Nikki competes for the position of dance captain, but loses it to Mary.

Dwight makes his debut as The Crybaby in his first professional wrestling match, but his embarrassment leads him to ditch the script. Meanwhile, Nikki is up for a solo act in a musical production at the casino, but the lyrics could harm her big chance.

Dwight considers going to college after he meets his childhood hero, wrestler Pretty Boy, who is now old and poor.

Nikki learns that the next show at the casino requires the dancers to perform topless- or take the month long run off without pay. Dwight's medical insurance is cancelled because of an injury he sustained in junior high school, and he can't wrestle until he gets a new policy. Before leaving for home, Marion tries to persuade Dwight that he's throwing his life away.

An old friend of Nikki's visits and recalls the first time Nikki saw Dwight during a high school wrestling match. Meanwhile, Jupiter hires Mary to photograph his wrestlers for a calendar.

The IRS takes over the casino and the representative in charge makes the dancers perform in additional shows without extra pay.

Dwight auditions for a music video that features dancing wrestlers, and he persuades the director to let Nikki try out for a part in the production.

Nikki throws a surprise birthday party for Marion on a night when the mother-in-law had dinner plans with Dwight's ex-girlfriend.
